//// lyk wat is the deal with all these cities trying to stay weird? “Keep _____ weird” seems to be a rising slogan for cities with high concentrations of stoners and hipsters. I guess it’s supposed to encourage ‘buying local’ and prevent overrunning of ‘totally unweird’ chain stores, bemoaning the death of the small business owner in America (why is it so cool/heroic to run a small business n e wayz?). The catchphrase itself has spread like Walmarts across the country only it’s chill ‘cause it’s free trade, right? If you define yrself as weird, and that is all you have, and if being weird necessitates living somewhere weird, well then I get it. No, I still don’t get it. &&&& who are they fighting against? is there a special CIA/FBI anti-weird squad?
